SOICS Unbox Project

FREE TO ATTEND BY REGISTRATION

Sunday, March 24
1:00 PM TO 4:00 PM - SOICS UNBOX PROJECT
@ THE DREAM CAFÉ, 67 Colourful Front St

Unbox is an anti-racism educational resource modeled on You Need This Box. It focuses on the experiences of racism by new immigrants and other racialized community members. Unbox encourages you to conduct an “audit” of the community using the lens of an ally - identifying areas that preserve racial inequities embedded in our society. In addition, you will have the opportunity to enhance your knowledge and appreciation for various cultures represented in your community.

Our diverse community will come together to connect at a human level and engage in a conversation about anti-racism. Join us for a deep conversation about “Active-Witnessing” with a guest speaker from South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services (SOICS). Light multi-cultural refreshments also provided.
