MEET THE STAFF

  • JIM MINSHULL

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Jim brings a creative perspective to his leadership, shaped by early studies in art and performance. Born and raised in Vancouver, he has lived in Penticton for the past 13years and remains actively engaged in the local arts community. He performs in Penticton theatre and occasionally works in the Okanagan film industry. Professionally, Jim has a proven track record of operations management success,overseeing multi million-dollar projects and managing large teams. Known for steppinginto complex or challenged projects, he consistently restores budgets and schedules through creative problem-solving and collaborative leadership. His blend of operational expertise, artistic sensibility, and commitment to community uniquely positions him to support the continued growth of the Penticton Art Gallery. Jim’s vision for the gallery is to be a vibrant cultural space and a refuge for artist expression. He feels the gallery is the heart of our art community and wants to help keep it a place that people feel drawn to and continues to ascend in offering quality exhibits, programming and events.“I want people to feel inspired and supported here, in their artistic journey. I also want the relationship between self-discovery and shared experience to thrive here.”

    COMMUNITY LIAISON MANAGER

    Karen relocated to Penticton from Vancouver, BC, five years ago. She has been with PAG for the past four years, beginning as a volunteer before advancing to the role of Gift Shop Manager. She later transitioned into the position of Visitor Services Coordinator and Gift Shop Administrator and has most recently been appointed Community Liaison Manager. Karen is enthusiastic about her new role and looks forward to contributing to the continued growth and evolving direction of PAG.

    ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE COORDINATOR

    Joanna is a life-long Penticton resident and a graduate of both Pen Hi and Okanagan College with a Business Admin Diploma in Accounting.  She has also earned a Non-Profit Management Certificate from Harvard Extension School.  She brings several years of recent experience in the non-profit sector with her.

    She is a proud mother of two and a grandmother of three. She likes to go for walks, shopping, reading, and animals.  She looks forward to being a part of the vibrant arts community in her role at the Penticton Art Gallery.
