Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we pause to honour and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, languages, and enduring contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across this land.
At the Penticton Art Gallery, we recognize that art and storytelling are powerful pathways to understanding. Today is an invitation to listen more deeply, learn more intentionally, and reflect on the truths that shape this place and our shared future. We encourage our community to take time today to learn, to listen, and to engage with Indigenous voices, histories, and contemporary expressions. Reconciliation begins with understanding, and understanding begins with curiosity.
