CALL FOR YOUTH ARTISTS 15 & UNDER
8” × 8” UNDER $50 YOUTH ART SHOW & SALE
Benefitting Local Artists and the Penticton Art Gallery
October 28 – December 17, 2026
It all starts at Square One. The Penticton Art Gallery invites young artists under 16 years of age to transform a simple 8” × 8” canvas panel into something entirely their own for SQUARE ONE too!, this year’s Under $50 Youth Art Show and Fundraising Sale.
One blank square. Unlimited creativity.
Free for all youth participants | Pick up your 8" × 8" canvas panel from the front desk at the Penticton Art Gallery starting on September 22 (Tuesday - Saturday) while supplies last. Only 100 canvas panels are available; one per child.
What happens next is entirely up to you.
Create at the Gallery, at home or at school. Then price your one-of-a-kind artwork, between $10 and $50. Fill out the form on the back of the panel, and deliver your masterpiece to the Gallery to hang in The Landing for the Youth Art Show & Sale.
Kids helping kids
Part of the proceeds from every sale will support Penticton Art Gallery kids’ camps and classes because art should be accessible to everyone.
SQUARE ONE too! artworks will be hung to form a vibrant mosaic of colour, texture, materials and ideas. Each 8" × 8" work will stand on its own while contributing to a fun, collective display, inviting visitors to discover emerging young artists and purchase an original piece to treasure.
SQUARE ONE too! opens Wednesday, October 28, 2026 in conjunction with the first night of Penticton Art Gallery’s beloved annual Soup Bowls Fundraiser. This perennial favourite is celebrating its 30th anniversary and sells out each year.
SQUARE ONE too! continues through Thursday, December 17, 2026, making it a wonderful opportunity for holiday shoppers, first-time art buyers and seasoned collectors alike to find an original work of art for under $50.
Older artists 16+ can participate in this year’s Under $500 SQUARE ONE 12” X 12” Art Show & Sale showcased in The Channel Gallery @ PAG. For more information, go to https://www.pentictonartgallery.com/adult-programming
