Exploring Watercolour with Shirley McMahon (BFA). Adult class, 19+
Explore the vibrancy and gentle translucency of watercolours and mixed media. No experience is necessary in this welcoming and supportive three day beginners introductory workshop. Acquaint yourself with materials and techniques of graded washes while learning colour theory and composition. Have fun creating visual texture using salts and spattering. While using watercolour pencils, pen and ink and collage we will explore creative techniques for unique paintings.

This course is an introduction to colour and basic colour theory. Topics include pigments, mixing, neutrals, saturation, value, atmosphere, temperature and art history. Classes combine theory, demonstration and hands-on learning experience. This class is designed to deepen your knowledge of all things related to colour within your practice.

A unique new program at PAG, ArtRx is inspired by the Five Ways to Wellbeing and designed to support personal wellness through creativity and connection with nature.
In this workshop, we invite you to slow down and experience mindfulness through creative outdoor activities. Enjoy the calming practice of Forest Bathing and engage in Nature Sketching and Journaling—art-making in nature that fosters resilience, wellness, and self-care.
You'll also explore simple, mindful art techniques that can be easily integrated into your everyday life.
All sessions are led by a certified Forest Bathing and Creative Wellness guide.
