A welcoming opportunity to let your unadulterated creative flag fly!
Collage is a creative process & technique of collecting materials from a smorgasbord of photographs & magazine material, unique papers & found objects. These are glued to a precut surface. Painting & drawing materials are also offered. Images are torn or cut & pasted to tell a story, depict a memory, a dream, a fantastical image, an abstract or a stylized design. Examples will be presented along with simple techniques.

This is a supportive environment with respect to individual levels & abilities. Experience can be achieved in the September Drawing Essentials classes. It is advised for this 3-session class to have honed basic elemental experience with drawing shapes and shading as we approach the essence of drawing a dog, cat and an image of choice.

No drawing experience is necessary in this supportive environment where students progressively address the fundamental elements of art & design of line, shape & space while learning perspectives & shading. These elements are the building blocks to any subject be it animals, faces, still life or landscapes. Multiple drawing concepts & materials are introduced, often unfamiliar to beginners. Previous students are continually welcome this opportunity to revisit, practice and refresh concepts, as well as to meet like-minded folks. This can also be a prerequisite to the following 3 session DRAWING ANIMALS class Oct. 26, Nov. 2 & Nov. 9, 2025.
