2 - 4pm Main Gallery - Peachy Twists Hula Flow Workshop: Get ready to spin flow and learn something new at the Ignite the Arts Festival! On Friday March 27 from 2–4 PM sponsored hula flow artist Christine Nash (@peachytwists) will lead an energetic 2-hour Hula Flow Workshop. Participants will receive a printed guide featuring 20 basic hula flow moves and Christine will guide the group through each one spending a few minutes demonstrating the techniques and flow. Once everyone has been introduced to the full set of moves the remainder of the workshop will be dedicated to practicing and refining the tricks participants enjoy most. The fun continues on Sunday at 10:30 AM at the Penticton Elks Hall with DJ Grampa Groove where workshop participants are invited to take part in a one-song Hula Flow Competition to show off what they’ve learned. Performances will be judged by a panel of guest judges. Prizes include three custom stained-glass trophies created by Mike Nash awarded to the top three performances. The overall winner will also receive a brand-new professional hoop generously donated by georevhooping.com. While hoops won’t be provided to take home for practice a limited number will be available for purchase for a small donation to help cover replacement costs. Come learn the moves find your flow and maybe even take home a trophy!
